Radiology Alliance, PC (Radiology Alliance), Tennessee, agreed to pay $355,461 after self-disclosing its behavior to OIG. 34 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. According to OIG, Radiology Alliance submitted claims to federal health care programs that were false or fraudulent in the following ways: (1) Services were provided by two radiology practitioner assistants who were under the supervision of Radiology Alliance’s doctors as if they had been personally provided by the doctors; (2) In some cases, Radiology Alliance billed for nursing practitioner and physician assistant services using the supervising physician’s billing number.
