** **** *** * **** **** *** *** ******** *** ******* ***** ** *** ***** ** ****** **** ***** There was a bad heater which stopped in November 2022. We called ***** we paid ***** $425 assuming that was the first Month bill. ***** connect us with Microf for Finance. First invoice came on November 18, then came on November **** 2022. Although the invoice says due date December **** 2022, we paid November **** 2022. Why is there a late fee $5 on November **** 2022. And these are repeated late fee 10 times out of the last 11 months that we have been paying them. I spoke to Lachanda or Lawanda the first time. She called on September ** asking for $663. I told her that I just paid $331 on September ****. Therefore, I need to see my payments history. she said that was none of her business nor job description. I asked to speak to a supervisor. No response. I called the next and spoke to Christopher, then I later received payment history from Lawanda to discover all those fees. Are they scamming other customers hard earned money? I requested a pay off letter in April and then one again in May the one in April shows significantly lower then the one in May. I have been paying them monthly $150 and I received a call the other day also stating that i was in jeopardy of having my equipment repossessed. Once they adjust the pay off and take into consideration the additional monies I paid since that original request was made in April I will be paying it off in full. They need to correct the over $3000 balance that they are suggesting in less then a month increase.Business response

I have a lease agreement with Microf LLC for a gas furnace. The furnace was installed by ******* in *******, **. ******* did an excellent job. My issue is not with them. At the time of the lease which began in ******** 2020, I was dealing with numerous family crisis. My husband became suddenly ill and passed away in ********* 2020. At the same time my furnace broke and could not be repaired. It needed to be replaced. Microf LLC reviewed my income (not sure if they took into consideration any debts) and approved a lease at payment of $215 a month over a 5 year span. At the time - and in my state of mind at the moment - I agreed. I made my payments on time for more than a year - and currently am unable to keep up. I asked for options and was told - only option is to request a hardship which I might not get because I have no reduced income. I was also told that they will not accept a payment of at least $50 and if I didn't pay something "sooner rather than later" that the collections hardship group would deny me anyway - which would place me in the position of Microff LLC repossessing the furnace which is located in my house. I tried to explain that I did not want to pay $115 now hoping to be approved for a permanent payment reduction. I way also told that they have placed a lien on my home.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/04/22) */ **. ********, we are happy that we could come to a mutually agreeable resolution. Our lease offer was based on information obtained from your consumer report(s), the health of your bank account, and the lease payment as a percentage of your eligible income at the time of application. We reviewed the terms of the lease purchase transaction with you over the phone, we provided you with a written agreement that you reviewed and signed, we included a three-business day right of cancellation from the date of the agreement, and you thanked us for providing a product and service that met your needs. Only recently were we made aware that you were unhappy with the agreement. If you have any additional questions or concerns, or would like to further discuss your account, please give us a call at 855-642-7631. Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2022/04/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Thank you for your help. I emailed Microf with the following: Thank you Caitlin. For the record, I did explain that at the time of my application, I had a savings of approximately $***. I used that to pay the expenses left for me after my husband passed. I maintained the agreement to the very best of my ability. I am not trying to or wanting to walk away from this responsibility. Your company did help me in an emergent situation. That is why I reached out to you for solutions. I accept the agreement of $** a month. Please allow me the 20th of every month. I await your response. Thank you. Yours In Service; ******* ******** Phone: *** ***-**** ****************** They have not responded to that specific due date request. The company put a Lein onto he some without any notice. It wasn't until my home was under contract and pending a sale that I was told Microf has a lien on the home. We always pay our bill and never had a reason to receive a lien. If they informed people that a lien would be placed on your property, I wouldn't have used their service.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/01) */ Ms. *******, thank you for your feedback. The authorization for Microf to file a UCC was provided when the lessee signed the written lease purchase agreement. Microf files the UCC in the county real estate records where the installation address is located generally within 10 days of the installation date and for public notice purposes. Microf provided an early purchase option quote on February *** 2022, and we will file a UCC release after the early purchase option price is paid.Initial Complaint

Microf illegally put a lien on my house, I was not notified, and I received no judgment papers. My payments have been on time since June. This lien is also causing an issue with me and a credit union with me trying to obtain a Heloc so I can access my equity, fix up my house and sell it. It is illegal for a finance company to place liens without first securing a judgment.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/26) */ Mr. *******, thank you for your feedback. Microf disputes your claim that we illegally filed a lien on your property. You provided Microf authorization to file any UCC Financing Statement we determined necessary to protect our interests in and rights to the leased property as part of the signed written lease purchase agreement. We spoke with you on 10/25/2021 and determined that your account is eligible for a subordination/temporary release of our recorded UCC. A working copy of the UCC3 Financing Statement was emailed to you on 10/26/2021. Please contact Microf at 855-642-7631 with any additional questions or concerns related to your account.Initial Complaint

So we had our heat pump and AC unit put in back in November 2019. We have made all our payments and I have a record of each payment made. I recently reached out to inquire about what the payoff would be. It took them days to respond by email. I have paid over 6k right now and was sent a document saying it cost a little over 7k but was told the payoff amount is over 4k. How does that make any sense? I will only make payments to the amount it costed.. No way should we pay over 4k more.. that's just nonsense. I have proof that this is not right and if nothing is done I will get a lawyer in the coming weeks.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/05/07) */ *** *******, thank you for your feedback. We apologize for not providing you with an early purchase option quote within our standard 3 business day response time and we are committed to doing better. We reviewed your account information and we were able to determine that you completed the application online, were provided with on screen disclosures including payment amount, term, and cost to own, and you chose to move forward with the transaction. We also reviewed the recorded payment options call completed with one of our account representatives on 05/30/2019. On that call we confirmed your selected payment and term options, informed you to review the terms and conditions contained in the written Lease Purchase Agreement emailed to you, and encouraged you to contact us with any questions or concerns before signing and returning it to us. We received the signed Lease Purchase Agreement on 06/12/2019 and we do not have any record of any questions or concerns you presented about the Agreement or any disclosures provided to you. Our Lease Purchase Agreement allowed you to obtain HVAC equipment without having to make a large upfront payment to your contractor. As a reminder, you have the right to terminate the Agreement at any time without penalty by making the leased equipment available to Microf for pickup and paying any amount due at that time. We have made several attempts to contact you over the past few days in an effort to resolve your concerns and we have not been able to reach you. Please contact Microf at ************ or email ********************* if you would like to further discuss your account.
