Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

The City of Tampa takes security very serious and protecting our customer/citizens information is paramount, including their Personally Identifiable Information (PII).  PII is defined as an individual’s first name, first initial and last name, or any middle name and last name, in combination with any one or more of the following data elements:

     (a) Social security number.

     (b) Driver’s license number or Florida Identification Card number.

     (c) Account number, credit card number, or debit card number, in combination with any required security code, access code, or password that would permit access to an individual’s financial account.

Please provide PII only for services on our web site that specifically request it, such as online payments, employment applications and claims.  Do NOT include PII in general messaging services, such as email or the Customer Service Center.
