Can Idaho Power shut off for non payment?

With proper notice, electric service may be terminated or denied for one of the following reasons: paying a delinquent bill with a check or electronic payment drawn on an account with insufficient funds, or failing to pay a bill within 15 days of when it was issued.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT YOUR PAYMENT

On November 21, 2022, the City of Nampa will formally transition to a new utility billing website for our clients. An update is required as the current utility payment system is being phased out. The new electronic billing and payment portal is more user-friendly, less expensive, and offers customers more options. It will provide the same fantastic features in addition to a few extra choices.

We regretfully are unable to transfer customer debit/credit card data to the new system. To avoid late payments or future shut-offs, customers who have auto-payment set up on the utility billing website using a debit or credit card must enter payment information into the new customer website before November 21, 2022.

Customers are urged to take the following actions before November 21 in order to ensure a smooth transition for those who pay online:

  • Visit the new website at https://nampa.billingdoc.net
  • Click “Create an account” and enter contact information (customers will be asked to verify their email address)
  • Add account number (account numbers will remain the same and can be found on the latest utility bill)
  • Add payment information (debit card, etc.)
  • Step-by-step instructions are available for customers at nampa. billingdoc. net, and we urge each customer to set up a new account before November 21. If a customer wants to access their customer information online, they can do so without taking any further action if they pay with a check or cash.
