Billing Information for Radiologist’s Services
South Georgia Radiology Associates, L.L.C. reads the radiology tests you have at any of our partner hospitals. L. C. (SGRA). The hospital’s bill and the reading services rendered by SGRA are charged separately. SGRA’s billing office address is P. O. Box 1067, Statesboro, Georgia, 30459. The toll-free phone number is 888-760-2455. Between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, billing representatives are accessible.
SGRA’s billing office receives your insurance data from the hospital. We will bill your insurance company for the professional services. You will receive a statement for any outstanding balance once your insurance provider responds.
Your claim will likely be handled as an out-of-network claim if SGRA does not participate with your insurance provider. Many insurance policies have clauses that allow them to pay for professional services provided by radiologists outside their network in connection with care received at a hospital. Call the benefits phone number listed on your insurance card to speak with your insurance provider about these provisions. You can also get help from our billing office if you have any inquiries about how your insurance company handled your claim.
If this hospital accepts your application and deems you to be “indigent,” you will receive written notice from the hospital. A trust fund for indigent care pays for the hospital, but SGRA is not covered by it. If you send a copy of your hospital approval letter to the SGRA billing office and don’t have insurance, your account will be examined to see if you qualify for an indigent discount. Your account will be adjusted and a new statement will be sent to you if SGRA grants a discount.
