Yes, the fee is $150The convenience fee will not be credited back to your account beginning February 1, 2021. The $150 is a convenience fee paid to the merchant for handling the transaction. No part of this fee is collected by Alabama Power

As requested by the Alabama Public Service Commission, the fee was previously credited back to customers who made their payments at a merchant location between August 1, 2019, and January 31, 2021.

All locations accept cash, and some locations also accept debit cards. Credit cards and checks are not accepted

  • Call 1-800-245-2244. Select Option 2 for Billing and then Option 2 for Payment Arrangement. From there, follow the prompts. Please note: you will need to know the primary phone number on the account and the last four digits of the account holders social security number. If you do not know the phone number, you will need to know the account number or full social security number of the account holder.
